Today had been the worst day she'd ever had on Earth... Not that she could remember anything from wherever she came from, but the fact was, today had been nothing but hell. The takings at the bar weren't particularly good at the moment and the company she got all her stock from was slowly going under.
She had to get away from it all.
Elektra wandered around the forest. It was about a ten minute drive from where she lived, but she walked there instead. She was in her domain now though. She felt at ease as she surrounded herself with nature and she breathed it in.
To her knowledge, she was alone and that was how she wanted it. She wasn't scared to be in the woods on her own. Most people, humans mainly, would have thought she was crazy but the fact was she just didn't care.
She stopped, listening.
She was wrong.
She wasn't alone after all.
"Hello?" she called out into the looming darkness. "Who's there?"

The woods always seemed to be the perfect place to venture too when you had a fresh kill to feast on. Guillotine was a beast that trailed through the woods often. He was a hellhound after all. The beast ‘owned’ this side of the forest, rather he thought he did. Gil would always mark his territory on the trees in hopes that someone would get the hint that it was his. Unfortunately, humans always seemed to ignore these signals and walk through the forest anyway. Well, today he wasn’t here to patrol his territory, but rather to feast on a corpse he’d dragged from the city. The half-eaten corpse that Gil dragging behind him belonged to a small fifteen year old who had decided to take a short cut through the alleys to get home. That had been a fatal mistake on her part. A pleased bloodied smile had stretched Guillotine’s handsome face as he continued to walk through his forest territory. He would bury this corpse and come back for it later. Guillotine looked around, attempting to find the perfect location to store his delicious meal. Before he could start digging he got distracted by a very nice smell. The male suddenly dropped the bloodied body as the scent of fresh meat filled the air. Ah, another being had entered his territory. Guillotine pale hand dusted himself off, and tried to wipe the crimson from his blood stained lips. He then mustered the best smile that he could before he ventured off to find the source of the lovely aroma. When he found her, the male chuckled darkly. She seemed to know of his presence. “Hehe, What do we have here?” The male cooed as he slowly approached the woman.

A thud not to far away from her made her head snap to the left and she squinted through the darkness, trying to locate the source of the noise. She wasn't scared in particular, which was one of her downfalls. She should have been scared, but she just wasn't. She didn't feel like she had anything to fear as such, she was somewhere that happened to put her in her element literally and she could easily overpower most things by knocking a tree or six over.
Footsteps began sounding from somewhere, coming in her direction and she watched harder. Eventually a tall-ish, handsome guy came into focus. He was deathly pale, much like herself and he had jet black hair that blended in well with the night.
"Hehe, what do we have here?"[/i] he said in an almost amused purr or at least that was what it sounded like to her.
She stared at him for a little while, saying nothing. Her head tilted lightly to the left.
"You have blood on your face... Is it your blood? Because if it isn't, you'll be in lots of trouble. I think murder and cannibalism is against the rules... Like the really big ones that mean you have to go to the scary, concrete place if you break them," she replied simply, a small smile appearing on her lips. "Why are you here? Because it's not very safe and you're in my place. So you should get out."

Guillotine’s single forest green eye looked the trespasser up and down with interest. His other eye was covered behind his jet black hair. He’d given up on the eye patch for now. He beast listened intently as the woman spoke. Her words humored him. A loud cackle surged from Guillotine’s mouth. Was this female serious? Clearly, she didn’t know what she was messing with. A pale hand reached up and scratched Guillotine’s chin. This would prove to be an interesting encounter to say the least.
The woman took note of his bloodied mouth. She even said something about cannibalism. Ah, the female thought he was human? Prefect that would mean his disuse is working, but he didn’t have the attitude to go with it. “-Cannibalism? Oh, no, no.” He replied with a shake of his head. “I’m not a Cannibal love.” The strange female then stood there, staring him down before she spoke again. Her words made Gil chuckle. “You are fairly mistaken my dear. This is my territory.” He replied as he drew closer. “Take a good look at the trees, they’ll have my scent on them. “ The beast then cocked his head to the side; this woman wasn’t scared of him? Hell, she even told him to go away. “Not likely, You see you are in my territory, so you are the one who needs to leave…unless you would like to become my next meal.” Guillotine then licked his lips with satisfaction.

This guy was insane.
She stood her ground as he drew closer to her and she narrowed her eyes a little, thinking over his words and clenching her fists.
"Well, did it ever occur to you that the trees might not like having your scent all over them?" she spat back, becoming rapidly annoyed at the man. "And if you take another step, I'll end you. You can't eat me because nature will only take revenge upon those that harm it's guardians."
She felt like she might have had the edge on him now. It finally clicked that he wasn't a human. If he wasn't a cannibal then he had to be something not human. What that was exactly, she didn't know, but she was more than prepared to take him down if he kept upsetting the balance in her forest.
"I'm not as soft as I look you see, my dear. You're in my forest. I look after it and your presence here is making everything not right. You're clearly an abomination so you really should go," she said, her voice one of those deadly calm voices that most people were scared of. This man wasn't scared of her. He seemed to think that he was better than her somehow. "But anyway, I shall not leave. You will and you'll find somewhere else to get rid of that poor kid you just killed."

Guillotine rolled his forest green eyes. “Why should I care about the fucking trees?” He barked. The male barely care about human life, he truly didn’t give a hoot about the trees that littered the forest. This woman was very strange. She talked like the trees where alive or something. “I piss on whatever I want; no one is here to stop me.” Guillotine cooed with a sharp toothed smile. What she said next made the male stop in mid-step. Did she really say she would end him? The male then cocked an eye brow. “Can I call your bullshit?” He replied. The male then scoffed. Nature would come back to get him if he ate this woman? This female was either some supernatural, or a very stupid human. Gil couldn’t tell.
“Not as soft? I will have to disagree. I’m sure your flesh is soft and delicious.” The male cooed as he scratched his chin. He would stand there for as long as it took to get this woman out of his territory, or kill her. Either option would satisfy this beast. What the woman said next caused Gil blood to boil. “Excuse me, an abomination?” The male then growled. “Are you kidding me? I’m not the one talking to trees you fucking weirdo!” He then stopped when the woman mentioned the kid. “heheh, So you noticed my little snack, eh?”
Guillotine then leaned his back against one of the trees. The male had begun to grown board of this arguing game, he needed a little action. Gil smirked before slipping his hand into his pocket. He slipped a small red pocket knife from his jeans. Being the bully that he was the male was willing to expose this woman. He wanted to get a laugh out of her. Gil flipped the blade out and began poking the tree with the knife, each stab grew harder. “Tell me what is it saying? Is the tree begging for mercy?” The male then chuckled as he cut a deep line within the tree’s bark. “I-Is it screaming my name yet? HAHAHA!” He hoped to get a rise out of this woman. This was actually kind of fun. “What’s that tree? I can’t hear you.”

This man, whoever or whatever he was, really knew how to test her patience and she made a soft growl in her throat as he referred to the dead kid a few metres away as a snack.
“So, human life means absolutely nothing to you? Everyone has a weakness you know? And for the most part it's not that hard to find the weakness and exploit it. You seem to think you're indestructible. Well, you're not,” Elektra said in a soft voice, eyeing the blade he'd pulled from his pocket. She carried on watching as he flipped the blade and proceeded to stab at the tree he was leaning against and she felt nothing but white hot rage at that point. “You need to stop doing that. Right now.”
Her body stiffened, her jaw set and her hands, which were now hanging by her sides balled up into fists and she took a step forward and another and another until she was level with the man. She pointed at the knife and caused it to flip out of his hand onto the floor.
“You don't mess with the things that create life. You respect them,” she said through gritted teeth and she raised a fist and socked him right in the eye as hard as she could. Once her hand withdrew, she turned away from him, took a few steps then turned around swiftly and took another swing at him, this time catching him right in the gut. She didn't really know what she was up against but on face value, he was a humanoid psychopath and she shook her head.
“I can hit harder and I will if you don't leave and never come back,” Ele warned. “My name is Elektra and this is my territory and if I see you in here again, I will be the one to bury you. I can promise you that with my entire being.”
She looked around the woods as best she could considering how dark it was and took a deep breath, closing her eyes. This was an attempt to calm herself down before any real damage was done. She didn't want to break the forest more than it already was. She knew that a development on the other side of the forest had upset things and she was trying her best to protect what she could. Although it was proving to be a far more difficult task than she first thought.

A dark laugh surged from Gil’s blood stained lips. This woman was really something else. Here she was trying to get Gil, a hellhound, to behave. Guillotine was anything but an angel. He would rip his prey apart without feeling an ounce of remorse. Did this woman really believe she could get the man to stop just by asking him? The beast wanted to cut her down right then and there for speaking to him in such a way, but what would be the fun in that? No, Gil wanted to poke and prod this girl until she caved in. Playing little mind games was what Gil did best. He enjoyed slowly pushing his prey over the edge before taking them down with his fangs. This woman wouldn’t be any different. Just like everyone else, she too was prey. The tall man licked his lips with satisfaction as thoughts of murderous proportions surged into his skull. This blonde clearly didn’t know what she was dealing with. Elektra talked to Gil as if he were another person. Oh, how wrong she was. If only she knew what kind of beast lay just beneath Guillotine’s pale hide then maybe she would have thought twice about treating him like a mere human.“Why should I give a damn about a stupid human?” Gil asked as he continued to carve deep lines within the tree’s rough truck. Maybe he could give her a hint that she wasn’t dealing with a mere mortal? With a devilish smirk Gil used his sharp blade to draw a very messy upside down star. It looked almost like something a kindergartener would draw on a piece of scrap paper. This hound had little to no drawing skill what so ever, though he thought it looked pretty good. As Guillotine made his work of art the woman called out to him. Her words caused him to grimace. How dare she talk to him like that! Guillotine ignored her words for a moment as he completed his drawing by carving a circle around the inverted star. He had learned this symbol from a coworker named Elizabeth. Too bad poor fool was dead. The male didn’t really understand what this symbol meant, but he could recall her saying something about it being evil. “I have weakness, huh? Do you know what they are?“ Guillotine took a step back and admired his work before turning to look at the strange blonde. He then flashed a sharp toothed grin. “Care to enlighten me, Babe?” His harsh raspy voice hinted at his murderous intent as he spoke. “Or, will I have to make the first cut?” It appeared that Gil was getting under this woman’s skin. The beast just loved getting a rise out of people. It made him feel dominant in the situation. Guillotine watched as Elektra’s lovely frame stiffened and her jaw set. He could almost see veins popping out of the side of her head. She was pissed. A stupid grin appeared onto Gil’s face. If there was one thing the hellhound was good at, it was being a bully. When she told Guillotine to stop he rolled his eyes. The man then looked down at the smaller woman and replied in a very condescending manner. “…No.” With barely enough time to blink the woman stormed up to him. The two were standing face to face now, not that Gil minded. He wasn’t one to shy away from a pretty girl, even if that girl was furious. Gil inspected the smaller female with that single emerald orb of his. The other, more demonic looking eye remained hidden behind his jet black hair. Gil seemed to tower over this girl and yet she managed to hold eye contact with him. He had to give the smaller woman props for being brave. But that bravery could easily get her killed.
Anger, and rage was wafting off Elektra in waves. Gil could feel it, and it didn’t frighten him in the least. Just knowing that he got under her skin so easily pleased the bull-headed beast. Before he could bark another foul comment the woman did something rather unexpected. Elektra extended her index finger towards the knife, Gil thought she was about to ask him to put it away. Gil would of course object to this, but she wasn’t having it. Elektra managed to get rid of it for him. The Knife flipped out of Gil’s had as if some invisible force had done it. Dumbfounded, the beast cocked an eye brow. The once cool and calm hellhound began to question his sanity for a brief moment. What had just happened? His mind quickly came to the conclusion that this woman might have been some sort of illusionist. In an attempt to regain his confidence Gil peered down at Elektra and spoke. “Woh! Looks like you got some tricks up your sleeve, eh?” Gil teased as he looked back at his knife. He attempted to stifle a chuckle and seem ok with it; on the inside he was taken aback by this stunt. “It’s always the pretty ones who turn out to be monsters. What a pity.” This night was going to be more interesting that he previously though. For once he was dealing with a supernatural, not a normal human. Guillotine soon scoffed like an immature teen when Elektra spoke of respecting those who create life. Gil had little to no respect for those around him. This task was impossible for the egotistical hound. “Ha, Respect? Why should I respect a f*cking tree? It doesn’t even talk!” As he spoke the woman’s quick hand movements had gone unnoticed. Before Gil could prepare himself Elektra drove her fist right into his eye. The male stumbled back in pain. “Gurah!” A loud growl rumbled from his very being. The woman managed to punch his only good eye. Guillotine attempted to suck up the pain, and laugh it off like a crazed fool. He couldn’t let this girl get to him. Despite the pain the male looked over into her direction. His ears could hear the gentle crunching of leaves under her foot falls. She was still nearby…good. “I-Is that the best you can do!?” Gil mocked he was being a bit too cocky for his own good. He didn’t see the second fist coming. It hit him in the center of his gut. Gil had to give the woman props for having an iron fist. Now, he really got the hint that she wasn’t human. No human could lend a blow like this .The attack itself nearly knocked the wind out of him. The beast stumbled before doubling over in pain. Whizzing and coughing wasn’t doing him any good, though the hound couldn’t help it. His body continued to push inaudible words from his lips as he staged around. Suddenly he felt his body lurch and stomach churn. Before he knew it a cocktail of bile, fleshy tissue and blood poured from his mouth. Just the pain of it all nearly drove the beast mad. Elektra’s punch forced him to purge his meal. Needless to say, he wasn’t too happy about it. Gil made that known with a growl. Tiny streams of crimson dripped from his mouth. A nasty, demon worthy temper would surface from the depths of this hound’s dark soul. Gil wasn’t finished just yet. He refused to fall by the hand of a female of all things! He slowly opened his eyes his vision had become very blurry. His eye began to puff up from the forming bruise. Gil placed one of his pale hands onto the tree and forced himself up. While he struggled to stand the woman stated her name, and confirmed that this place was indeed her territory. “B-bullsh*t!” Guillotine coughed out as he got to his feet. “I-I couldn’t care less what your f*cking name is…” He grumbled under his breath. Gil’s puffy eye looked up at her. “You’re as good as dead anyway.” The aroma of fire and brimstone began to fill the cool night air. The ground around the man’s feet began to grow hot until a pillar of flames surged from the very ground beneath Gil’s shoes. Anything around the burning tower would be singed as it pushed skyward. When the flame dispersed a large angry canine stood in Gil’s place. This large beast was covered in light grey scales. The monster revealed his large razor sharp fangs. “Now, you wanna’ try to hit me again, bitch!?”Guillotine huffed, his hot breath rolled from his long pink tongue. With his ears pricked forward and his boney tail stood erect onto his backside the beast let loose a loud growl. “I will have to warn you though, you will lose a finger or two this time…”

This man, well thing... Whatever the hell he was, was probably the most infuriating son of a b*tch she'd ever come across and she sure as hell wasn't going to allow him to destroy her forest and litter it with bodies of the people he'd decided to make a snack out of. She just wouldn't stand for it. When she punched him those couple of times, she smiled a little. It felt so good to give him what he deserved and hell, she''d even made him throw up with the punch to the gut. Such a satisfying feeling.
She looked down at the man who was gasping and wheezing and clutching his stomach, trying to pin point where she was.
She didn't expect the next part though.
Flames shot out from the ground causing her to start and fall back against a tree. She heard Guil's voice, challenging her to sock him one again. She would have if it weren't for the fact he was stood on a turret of fire.
When he came back to ground level, instead of a man, there was a large... thing. It resembled a dog but it didn't really look like one. "What are you?" she asked in a clear voice, forcing herself to remain calm. She didn't know which would win, her fear or her panic. This was something she'd never come across before. Shapeshifters she'd seen and she was even friends with a couple, but something that turned canine in flames... never.
He continued taunting her, the same smug voice full of the arrogance of a million men coming at her, warning her that if she hit him again, she'd lose a finger of two. She pushed herself back from the tree and brushed herself down and glanced at the dog in front of her. "Well, I'm not going to hit you again. But something else might. Since I assume the fire is only something that occurs when you change form..." she said softly, taking a small step forward and leaning over, grabbing a handful of forest dirt, before standing up and looking the beast right in the eye. She took a couple of deep breaths and let the earth trickle through her fingers. "You don't scare me. All this macho crap is hiding something and you're challenging an Earth Elementalist in a forest. You're really not as smart as you think you are, are you?"
She thought it would be safe to reveal what she was now, especially now that she knew he was about as human as she was. Well, actually he was the least human thing she'd ever met. Most wanted to integrate into the human community, whereas he just seemed to want to eat his way through it.
Elektra watched the beast, waiting for any sort of reaction, a small smirk spread across her face.

This female was smarter than she looked. Guillotine wouldn’t admit his own faults. However, this little woman had called his bluff. Gil was a bit handicapped. Unlike other hellhound he didn’t have the ability to summon fire. He did make it up with brute strength but sometimes that didn’t always work. Oh woe was he, the hellhound that couldn’t fight with fire. In an attempt to regain his confidence the male retaliated. Guillotine wasn’t about to let this woman put him down. “I wouldn’t be so sure if I where you…” His muzzle then creased into a large sharp toothed grin. Maybe if he played cocky she would believe him? “I’ve burned many humans in my time. Roasting people is my specialty.” Guillotined lied through his fangs. “Ah yes, I just love the smell of smoldering flesh…” Would the woman still call him out after this? Guillotine rolled his shoulders arrogantly.
So, this bold Elementalist still had some fight in her? Guillotine snorted, It was time to knock her confidence down a few notches. “And you are challenging a hellhound at the peak of his existence. If I don’t scare you then maybe my fangs will. “Guillotine licks his maw with satisfaction. He hoped his words would be enough to scar this elementalist. She seemed brave, perhaps too much so. His beady blood red eyes looked the lovely woman over. Oh, if he wasn’t trying to get his mate back, he would have taken this woman. It was in the male’s nature to be a brute. He would have taken her whether she liked the idea or not. Luckily, his recent break up made him think about the one person he truly loved. This would keep him out of trouble for the time being. “Elementalist or not, I’m sure you still taste like a human. You still have bones I could break, and flesh I would love to devour. “A loud unearthly chuckled surged from Guillotine’s throat. “Am I? Or are you stupid for challenging a hellhound in his prime!? I’m sure you’ll burn like this forest. “The beast took a bold step towards the small female. “I’ll make you my bitch!” He barked as he powerful back legs launched him forward.
